  • The Dutch Helicopter Commando uses the NH-90 as a maritime helicopter. However the helicopter can also be used as a Tactical Nato Frigate Helicopter (TNFH). In this role the NH-90 has some of it maritime systems removed to reduce weight and make space for troops. To protect the helicopter from threads from the ground it has a Terma Modular Aircraft Survivability Equipment (MASE) pod on the right side of the fuselage.

  • A beautiful French Navy SA365N Dauphin of 35F landing at BA103 Cambrai-Epinoy. Unfortunately this airfield has been closed early 2012. This helicopter is used in a Search and Rescue role.
  • The photo shows a USMC KC-130J aircraft as it approaches Eindhoven Air Base, its landing gear deployed and ready to touch down.
  • The Royal Navy Lynx HMA8SRU is a variant of the Westland Lynx helicopter, designed specifically for naval operations. It is a multi-role helicopter with a range of capabilities, including anti-submarine warfare, surface surveillance, and search and rescue.

Unfortunately the Lynx has been phased out in 2017.
  • The German Navy operates the Dornier 228 in a Maritime Patrol role. The aircraft are mainly in use for inspection of marine traffic.
